BACKGROUND

Amy was born and raised in Young NSW where she was involved in a number of sports including netball, gymnastics, dancing and league tag.
Following high school, Amy moved to Wollongong where she began studying a double degree in law and arts. During this time Amy realised her passion was in health and soon moved to Bathurst to complete degrees in both Exercise and Sports Science, and Physiotherapy - graduating with distinction and a number of Deans Awards for Academic Excellence.

Amy has a keen interest in sports injury & strength and conditioning after completing a strength and conditioning internship with the Western Region Academy of Sport and working as a performance coach for 3 years at a gym and athletic performance facility in Bathurst.

After completing her Physiotherapy degree, Amy worked in a rotating position at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, gaining valuable experience in acute care, orthopaedic surgery and neurological rehabilitation.

Amy has also completed post graduate study in clinical pilates and is part way through a women’s health course and is passionate about increasing access to valuable quality health care services for those living in rural areas.

Amys hobbies include water skiing, riding her mountain bike, reading a good book and spending time with her family and friends.
