Active Physiotherapy is honoured to be a sponsor of Gears & Beers. Run by the Wollundry Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga it is a cycling and craft beer event that sees 100% of riders registration fees go to Charity.

It is an event that aligns with giving and what we feel good about. Here are some photos of our physiotherapists helping riders after an epic ride.

Getting to spend 2 days at golf was a highlight of Rhen and Zac week in March.

Active supplied physiotherapy to the event and are grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a great event.

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a physiotherapist looks like?
Here Tayla Lindner shares one of her typical days so you can see.

Exercise Right for Active Ageing is a National program designed for older Australians over 65.

Supported by the Australian Government and managed by Sport Australia, funding from the Move it AUS – Better Ageing Grants Program subsidises 12 group exercise classes.

Active’s Exercise Physiologists have been running 3 classes per week, with all classes full. We apologise for those who missed out. We are thrilled we have been part of this program to help ‘Active Ageing’.

Due to the popularity of appointments at our Coolamon practice, we have opened up another day. You can now be seen on either a Monday or a Thursday.

We will continue to open more days as the demand increases.

Thank you Coolamon for supporting us and allowing us to support you.

In March we raised money for cystic fibrosis research (here). This is a cause close to Physiotherapist Rhen. We value being a for purpose social business and it is at the forefront of all that we do.

In April we have chosen to support the charitable foundation called BrAshA-T to raise money to support research into finding a cure and as a means for creating a support network for other families dealing with A-T (Ataxia-telangiectasia). You can read about a local Wagga Wagga family who have 2 children with A-T on the website and their quest to raise money for research. We are honoured to help.

Coming to work each day knowing that you not only help those who come for treatment but you help to donate to worthy causes together with your patient makes your day brighter.

Our second student for 2022, Jarad, starts in April and we thank our community for helping us to provide them with critical learning and mentoring opportunities in their final placement of their degree.

Over the years we have hosted many student placements, these students are in their final year of their studies and have already completed 3 years as well as a number of clinical experience placements in different health settings.

At the end of their placements with our clinic, we expect the experience to allow our students to be treating you at the same level as a graduated and fully qualified Physiotherapist.

To allow students more opportunities to learn we have a minimal cost to see the student - $30 per consultation. All consultations have close supervision and mentoring from senior team members.

Did you know that Wagga Wagga, our town, is hosting the 2022 Academy Games?

1300 talented athletes will compete in hockey, netball, basketball, golf, tennis, triathlon and cycling.

As a long term partner of the Southern Sports Academy we are honoured to be the official providers of physiotherapy and first aid services for all the athletes.

We understand the commitment both the athletes and their families / supporters have made to get here and we want the games to be the best they can be.

A big thank you to all our team and other volunteers who are helping.
