You may notice that we often use the slogan ‘be active, be healthy, be happy’.

It is a play on our business name and also what we stand for. We want our community to be active - because we know how moving your body can help you be healthier and happier.

Exercise:

Improves brain chemistry - Increased dopamine and serotonin (feel good chemicals) reduces cortisol levels (stress hormone)

Increases metabolism, reduces inflammation, improves energy levels / sleeping pattern / digestive health.

Regular activity has a positive impact on every system in the body.

We know now that you can start to make positive change with as little as 3 minutes a day (no longer need 30 mins).

Moving matters for your mind. Being physically active can improve your mood and we want to help you do this. Moving is not always easy due to age, injury, circumstances so we will work with you to help aid your transition to this slogan also being yours.

We believe that the key to happiness is living a full, active and healthy life. It is our aim to help people of all ages, from school children to retirees, get active, improve their fitness and live life to the fullest. We also understand that this is not always easy but we are here to help whatever is in the road of you starting to move.

We are thrilled to welcome new team members. We take great pride in making sure those who join our team are a great fit to our culture and values. We know you will agree with us when you meet them.

Sarah was raised in Wagga Wagga and was always involved in a wide variety of sports.

She completed her undergraduate degree in Sydney before returning to the country to commence a Masters of Exercise Physiology, obtaining a number of Deans awards upon completion.

Sarah is passionate about assisting people from all backgrounds to achieve their goals (big or small).

WHY DO YOU LOVE BEING AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?

Having the opportunity to work with such a wide variety of clients, empowering them to achieve their goals and discover their own capabilities.

We are excited that this is Sophie’s first job after completing high school at Kildare Catholic College.

Sophie has a strong passion for health and fitness. She enjoys playing netball for Turvey Park and going to the gym to keep active.

What part of your job do you enjoy the most?

I am looking forward to my first job and helping the team and patients reach their goals.

In February we are raising money again for Country Hope - Country Hope provides practical, emotional and financial assistance to local families caring for a child with cancer or other life-threatening illness.

In March we are giving to cystic fibrosis research (here). This is a cause close to Physiotherapist Rhen. She walked 65km on the 19th of February to raise money - read her story here. We are just so grateful for the passion and hearts of those that we work with every day.

As most of you know, we are a teaching practice. We love sharing our time and knowledge to help Charles Sturt University (& other Universities) students to complete their required placements.

Lachlan Buttsworth is a 4th year CSU student from Orange Campus and will commence with us on February 28. Lachlan has completed previous placements at Nepean and Forbes Hospital.

If you have any questions about NDIS or just need some help, Brooke will be able to assist you. We know the road can sometimes be hard to navigate and we would like to be able to assist you and your loved ones.

Physiotherapists Soph is accredited to lead Tai Chi group sessions and loves seeing clients respond to doing the classes.

It will be run twice a week at Simplee Yoga Studio 24 Baylis St on a Wednesday at 5:15pm and a Thursday morning at 9am.

Tai Chi allows for gentle movements, may help reduce
stress and anxiety and can also help increase flexibility and balance.

If you are interested in attending, call our Support Team on 02 6925 7734.

Friday 4th March our team is having their regular quarterly team development day.

We feel it is important to spend time with our team - to focus on culture, goal alignment, knowledge sharing, connection and to celebrate achievements.

We always look to improve the value we can bring to our clients such as ways for opportunities to refine / improve the experience and outcomes for our client journeys. We celebrate success by the measure of happiness of our team members.

Tash and her partner are about to welcome their first child and we couldn’t be more excited for them.

Tash is a valued and much loved member of our team and although we will miss her we know she will be back and we can’t wait to see her as a mum.

There is no shortage of arms to cuddle this little bubba.
