Soph grew up and completed her secondary schooling in Temora. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Albury, where she graduated with Honours, and was awarded the APA Award for Academic Excellence. Her research investigated the link between core stability and knee injury prevention in female athletes. During her study in Albury she also worked as Head Trainer for North Albury Football and Netball Club, which gave her invaluable experience in strapping, massage, and management of sports injuries. She has also worked as an independent first aid officer for junior basketball and tennis tournaments in the Albury-Wodonga region. She moved back to Wagga with her partner in early 2017, and enjoys long-distance running in her free time.

Soph has professional interests in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, injury prevention, chronic pain management and is registered to provide services to NDIS clients.
